Fawn Brents never planned on becoming a business owner.

Fawn Brents is an author and speaker who helps Christians discover the sacred calling in their daily work.

Her heart was set on missionary work. But life takes unexpected turns …

Shortly after she and her husband, Charlie married, they moved to Ecuador, South America, where they served together in ministry. Their years there were rich, meaningful, and deeply formative – shaping the way they would see people, purpose, and calling for the rest of their lives.

Returning to the States, life took an unexpected turn that felt surprisingly familiar. As the daughter of a successful land developer, Fawn had grown up around real estate. It was a world she understood instinctively. When her children reached high school age, she stepped into residential real estate and quickly discovered that she loved helping families find the right place to build their lives.

Within five years, she ranked in the top 1% of agents nationally and built a team known for exceptional service. But as her business grew, so did something else – a desire to meet not only practical needs, but spiritual ones. In the 1990s, the idea of what came to be called “marketplace ministry” was still new. Fawn began exploring how faith could naturally and authentically weave into everyday business. She soon learned that nothing in God’s economy is wasted.

Her work opened unexpected doors for ministry, and her ministry enriched the way she did business.

This blend of faith and leadership eventually led to speaking opportunities across Christian business networks, where she shared insights from Scripture alongside lessons from her own entrepreneurial journey. In 2009, she founded Kansas City Real Estate, Inc., a brokerage where she now trains and mentors agents in both excellence and integrity – modeling the integrated, purpose-driven approach that has defined her career.

Today, Fawn serves on the board for Avant Ministries, a global mission organization. In addition, Fawn frequently travels to Guatemala as an advisor to Child Rescue International and to Zambia as a Bible teacher. She is the author of two books: Wylie Finds Her Purpose, a children’s story about discovering God’s plan, and Bible Study Methods for the Common Scholar, a practical guide for study of the Scripture. Both are available on Amazon.

Fawn speaks at company events, business networking groups, conferences, and churches. Her message centers on a transformative idea: that faith is not limited to the walls of the church, and that our work can become a powerful form of worship.
